We just got back from a very fun weekend. On Saturday, we headed to the south bay to visit our friends, Sue and Ben, and their son "cousin" Cruz and daughter Whitney! They also just bought their first home, and we got to be some of their first house guests!
Cruz and Ethan had a blast together--now that they are getting older, their 6 month age difference is hardly noticeable. Us adults enjoyed catching up.
Today, we went to "A day out with Thomas the Train"--a special event at roaring camp railway in the Santa Cruz mountains, where, for a price, you get to take a ride on Thomas the train.
We met up with some of our other friends and their kids there.
Ethan actually got scared of the train when we arrived, and almost refused to get on, but he made it and by the end was all smiles.
They also had face painting, tattoos and jumpy houses, which the kids loved, and we enjoyed a picnic lunch after the train ride.
We don't have a good picture of Thomas, because the line to take a photo was ridiculously long. Suffice it to say it looked just like the books.
After a busy morning, and a late sleepover night, Ethan had no trouble napping on the drive home!
