Four Graduations, Fathers Day, and a Birthday celebrated twice!

It has been an absolute whirlwind of a week.

On Monday, Alaina celebrated her kindergarten graduation at Creekside park!   I can't believe how much she has grown up this past year.

On Wednesday, I turned the big 4-0!  We had a nice celebration at the house, and Jason surprised me by buying a cake from my favorite bakery, Copenhagen which is all the way down by the airport.   I also am the proud owner of a new bicycle!

On Friday morning, Ethan had his fourth grade promotion.   He was one of a hand full of kids chosen to give a speech on their favorite Bacich memories.   He was up first and did a great job!   We went early to get front row seats--we were so proud!

Friday night, Jason and I went out on a date to my birthday celebrate again--one can't have too much celebration for a birthday this big, right?

Then on Saturday, we hosted the fellowship graduation party at my house.   Had about 30 people and a Taco bar.   Turned out nice.

On Saturday night, we headed into the city for the residency program graduation.

And today, we hosted Father's day for the Greenbergs.

Phew!   What a fun, but busy week.   And I think I may have gained 15 pounds!  Apparently that is what happens when you are 40.

Ballet Recital

This weekend Alaina had her first ballet recital!

The weeks leading up to the performance, she would close her door and practice her routine.   She wouldn't show it to us though--as it was a "surprise".

She has been taking a ballet class once a week for the year, with three of her kindergarten friends.   I was pretty impressed with her show for 5 and 6 year olds.   The costumes were super cute.  And the routine was fairly well coordinated.  The video was too big to upload, but here are some pics:

And after the show:

Now, she tells me that she does not want to do ballet again next year......so this may be her first and only show, but I am glad that we got to go to one!

Wisteria Project

I have been wanting to put some vines on our house in the back yard for several years.   Well, this weekend we finally got around to it!   Jason looked up how to train Wisteria, and we planted plants on either side of our french doors.

He spent the better part of the day stringing wire across the house with I-bolts.   I have to say, he did a great job.   No we have heard that wisteria grow like weeds, so hopefully they will grow fast and cover the wires!   Will keep you posted!
