Labor Day Weekend

I am behind on posts--over Labor Day weekend we headed to the cabin.   We had planned the long weekend there with our friend the Toma's (our covid school pod) a long time ago.   Unfortunately, several wildfires had spread near Tahoe, making conditions smoky for over a month.   Still, we felt the need to get out of town, and we had not been to the cabin since July 4, so we decided to brave the smoke and head up.

It turned out to be not too bad!

On Saturday, Ethan was not feeling to well, having gotten his third Covid shot on Friday (he had a pretty strong reaction with fevers and myalgias), but the rest of us went to the beach.

By Sunday, Ethan was completely better and we all went on a nice hike and had a picnic lunch.   

  

The air on Monday was really great, but we left a bit early to get to Rosh Hashanah dinner at the Greenberg's house.   They made a huge feast with chicken and challah--yum!
