One of our deer fences came down during construction. We did not have money left for the backyard, and have pretty much "let it go". We do plan to re-do it, perhaps later this summer, depending on the drought. Meanwhile, a deer family has moved in. They seem to enjoy keeping our weeds short and rest under the redwood trees when they are not eating. The kids certainly get a kick out of watching them. Last week, a fawn appeared. It is super cute and playful.
Alas, when then yard does finally get done the deer will be evicted--they eat everything!!
But we will let them stay for now.
